Operations Assistant

Who would suit this role?

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Assistant to join our Napier team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid operational background who is ready to take the next step in their career by supporting the management of a small team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations. 

You'll be comfortable working alongside a small team, assisting with workflow coordination, maintaining operational standards, and supporting management with the day to day running of the branch. You enjoy leading by example and are highly organised and have a proactive approach to getting things done. 

What does the role entail?

This is a hands-on position where you'll spend time both supervising the team and actively contributing to the day-to-day operational workload.

• Assisting with the coordination and supervision of a small team of 3 operational staff
• Taking a hands-on approach to operational activities, assisting the team with vehicle processing, yard presentation, and day-to-day workflow management
• Overseeing the processing of vehicles from procurement through to sales
• Administering vehicle safety reports and ensuring compliance
• Maintain high standards for yard presentation
• Assisting with other operational tasks as needed.
  

What do we need from you?

• Full or Restricted driver's manual driver's licence
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Customer focused and ability to relate to people of all backgrounds
• Legal right to work in NZ as defined by NZ immigration
• Ability to multitask
