Who would suit this role?
We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional with a strong understanding of NZ legislation and a passion for creating safer workplaces. You're confident influencing at all levels, highly organised and skilled in audits, investigations and data analysis. If you enjoy working independently, travelling nationwide, and turning insights into practical actions, this is your chance to make a real impact. What will you do?
- Lead H&S strategy and embed a strong safety culture across all sites.
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with NZ legislations.
- Lead audits, investigations, and incident management, ensuring timely resolution and corrective actions.
- Deliver H&S training and inductions, maintain competency tracking and ensure correct PPE use for high-risk tasks.
- Provide expert advice on policies and procedures and communicate effectively across the organisation.
- Analyse and report H&S data and insights to senior leadership for continuous improvement.
What will you bring?
- 5-7 years experience in Health & Safety at a mid-senior level.
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or professional certificate (e.g., NEBOSH, GradDipOSH, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of NZ H&S legislation.
- Ability to coach and influence leaders and teams
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to self-manage & deliver to deadlines.
- Full NZ drivers licence for site visits and audits.
