Branch Manager
Turners Group NZ Ltd is part of the Turners Automotive Group and we're very proud to have been helping Kiwi's buy and sell used vehicles for over 50 years.
We're now looking for an experienced leader to take charge of our Christchurch Trucks & Machinery Branch and drive performance, growth, and exceptional customer services.
Who would suit this role?
We’re after a strong and people-focused leader with experience managing a sales and/or operational team. You'll be confident coaching, motivating, and developing people, and you’ll know how to bring out the best in your team. A strong sales/operational background and proven track record of consistently delivering results will ensure you will thrive in this role!
Previous automotive experience or not, what we are really looking for is someone with fantastic interpersonal skills that has loads of energy and drive to make things happen every day…and even better if you love Heavy Machinery!
What does the role entail?
- Actively support, coach and mentor direct reports ensuring they are successful and objectives and targets are achieved;
- Maintain and develop a service orientated culture, ensuring that customers receive the best possible service at all times;
- Manage key customer relationships for buyers and vendors;
- Effectively manage costs throughout the branch, by developing cost reduction initiatives;
- Lead from the front, set standards and provide systems for Branch staff to focus and achieve in the development of new business
- Promote safe practices, report hazards promptly, and ensure the branch meets H&S KPIs.
What do we need from you?
- Previous leadership experience in a sales/operational environment;
- A proven successful sales record, be target and results focused;
- Strong networking and influencing ability;
- Ability to develop, coach and build successful teams;
- A proactive nature and effective problem solver;
- A full/clean Driver’s License;
- Experience leading a commercial team will be a strong advantage
